Mike Gallisatus Big Band last performed at the Bach on January 19, 2014.
Original and contemporary compositions and some hard swinging standards with vocalist Duane Lawrence by 18 Bay Area musicians whose performance credits include Count Basie, Huey Lewis, Pete Escovedo, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joe Louis Walker, Jr, and many more. The MGBB has been performing together for the past ten years led by Mike Galisatus, free-lance trumpeter in the SF Bay Area and Director of Bands at the College of San Mateo. Michael has recorded with Pete Escovedo and Queen Ida, and has performed with Frankie Valli, Kenny Loggins, Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole, Louis Bellson, Johnny Mathis, Mel Torme, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The O’Jays, and a host of others.
